Getting migraine sorted

11 November 2009

In November, Woman’s Own magazine featured the “life-changing therapy” of Transcendental Meditation.

Amanda Leat, 34, from London, suffered terrible migraines, getting blurred vision, dizziness, exhaustion, nausea, and vomiting. Severe headaches once or twice a week left her unwell for days and unable to function in daily life.

“I tried all the usual things advisable for migraine sufferers, but it wasn’t enough,” Amanda says. But then she remembered having read about Transcendental Meditation and took the course. “I began meditating twice a day and I’ve not had a migraine since. It’s a simple technique, which is practised for 20 minutes, twice a day. Your teacher tells you how to do it.”
